Christmas Cookie Exchange

On Sunday I'm hosing a few girlfriends for a little Christmas gathering. I couldn't decide what I wanted to do during the party so we are doing an ornament--exchange/cookie-exchange/build-your-own-gingerbread-theme.
she celebrates any way she can.
An all-in-one shindig, if you will.

I haven't had an excuse to do any Christmas baking, so I'm anxious to try each of these recipes for the party - plus I know Joel's office will enjoy the leftovers.

  4. I haven't made cookies in years since our oven is so wacky, but I love making gingerbread cookies, snickerdoodles, or a cherry almond "kiss" cookie -- basically sugar cookie dough w/some chopped up maraschino cherries & some of the juice (makes the dough pink) with a splash of almond extract, then you pop a Hershey's kiss on top!
