Taking off the Turkey

Last week was such a food fest that when I got back to LA on Sunday I felt sluggish, puffy, and gross. Eating at restaurants, not working out, drinking too much and not getting enough sleep are not a good combination ever, but when they're combined for 7 days straight....that's a real problem.

From cutting out carbs before the wedding, I know that they have to be the first thing cut out of my diet in order to get back on track. For our meals this week, this is what's on the docket.

Recipes:
stuffed salmon (bought pre-made) and asparagus

I signed up for 3 SoulCycle classes and plan to get in a few runs as well. We have a busy weekend (ie. food & booze), but hopefully a few weeks of extra tight eating and exercising will get me ready for my next trip - MEXICO!

  1. Ugh, I am with you. I have not cooked at home in over a week, which means I have been eating like crap. Really hope I can motivate myself to make it to the gym after work today. Your menu looks yummy!

  2. No carbs for me this week. I love the idea of wrapping tacos with lettuce. Well, for this week at least!

  4. Get ready for this sentence --- When I was on the Dr. Oz show -- HA I'm such a goof, but really, the point of the segment I did was like, eat whatever you want and just be smart about it on the off days and get yourself back on track.

  6. I've been eating bad too thanks to the holidays. And it's my goal to lose 5 pounds by the end of the year. lol

I also sucked at cooking the past week and a half and finally amended that the other night. Ryan was pretty happy. ;)
