And in LA, when that happens, you really do need to just stop, sit and listen.
I've got a lot going on in my forecast (see what I did there?), so on days, or in hours, like this one, that I don't have anything to do, it's really nice to just sit down and watch the rain fall.

The two major topics going on this week for me is that I leave for Nashville next week and we register on Sunday.
Any advice on either?
Shoot away!
RAIN! I bet that is nice to just sit and watch since it's so rare!
ReplyDeleteRegistering - I loved registering at Pottery Barn Kids. Looking back, I wouldn't do Buy Buy Baby. Amazon was also amazing and most people bought us gifts from there.
I need to print that quote out & plaster it all over my office/ home. Just what I needed to read this morning. Thank you, love!
ReplyDeleteHang in there! Love the weather pun... so punny ;)
ReplyDeleteWe just registered, too! We also chose PBKids and went for BuyBuyBaby mainly because of the all-inclusiveness of it. We had an idea ahead of time what we were looking at for some items, so that helped not to have too many impulse scans and feel thoughtful about what we chose. And, adding/editing online after is helpful for patterns you may not have seen of decide you don't want, etc. congratulations!!! Thank you for your prayers and including you in mine!
ReplyDeleteOhhh registering is so fun!! I helped my friend who had a baby in August register - and I just loved it!!
ReplyDeleteIt is overwhelming though - we ended up adding a TON of stuff, everything we even casually liked, and then edited later. That way we could read reviews and try to make the best pick from the one million items available.
GOOD LUCK!!!!
For registering, start with the big stuff first {strollers, car seats.. etc.}. I did it the other way around, starting with fun, cute stuff like blankies and by the time I got to actual important stuff it had been hours and I was mentally exhausted and checked out! I'd say that was one of our 1st pregnant lady meltdowns. We registered at Target and Babies R Us. Babies R Us was hands down 100 times better than Target.
