Day Trip

One of the greatest parts of staying home right now with Leo is the flexibility in our day to day so when Joel had a day trip planned for Palos Verdes on a Monday, Leo and I decided to tag along.

Joel had a few meetings near Terranea resort, which is where we stayed for our babymoon, so it was an absolute trip to go back, but this time with Leo on the outside.

When we got there, Leo and I walked their beautiful grounds for about an hour, and then pulled up to have a solo lunch at one of their on site restaurants.

I sat and read and enjoyed the view and then it was time for Leo to wake up from his nap and eat and play. I found a little area that was perfect for us to camp out, so I fed Leo, rolled out a picnic blanket, played with toys and listened to music and just enjoyed being outside.

Since we don't have a backyard, we do a lot of walking outside, but we rarely sit in a park and just hang out and Leo was entranced.

Joel wrapped up his meetings around 3pm and met us. The three of us went for another long walk, took some pictures and had a pit stop for some key lime pie before hitting the road again.

And to think the three of us were there looking very differently just six months ago....my how time can change things.

  2. What a great time! Isn't it amazing what a difference a few months make? I agree with you that staying at home gives you so much more flexibility. We have gone on one business trip with the husband because it was pretty low key and the other times he is out of town, I go visit my parents. It is such a treat!
