Weekend Recap

Weekends these days are a mixture of doing a million things and feeling like I get a break at the same time.

Now that my hands seem to be constantly full, my picture game is seriously slackin' but I really want to try and get back into the habit of blogging this month, so I'm going to really try and up my game.

Friday I ended up making chicken pitas which kicked off what felt like a beautiful spring weekend. When it's in the 40's and the sun is out I am a happpppy camper.

My Friday night tradition once both kids are in bed is to splurge on a French martini while Joel and I watch Top Chef. I'm still in bed by 9 but it feels a little crazy!

Saturday morning after an episode of Chuggington in bed (our Saturday morning tradition), I snuck out to get in a 3 mile run. I'm really slow but it has been feeling SO good.

Joel had both kids outside when my ran wrapped up, so I met them and we took Leo for a little walk in the "woods". There is a walking path by our house that gives Leo an opportunity to run without holding our hand. He loves it and he's been taking more naps lately since he is getting a little more energy out and some fresh air.

After our walk we decided to pick up tacos and have lunch at the Crystal Lake Brewery. Drew had a bottle while we were there, Leo was happy to have his packed lunch, and Joel and I got to treat ourselves to a few beers at lunch and be out of the house for bit.

When we got home and we had the kids napping, I snuck out for a mani/pedi. We made pizzas with Joel's parents, watch the Tennessee basketball game, and called it a night.

On Sunday, I was able to get in another 3 mile run before my cousin Amanda came out to hang with us for the morning.

The weather was beautiful again, so we took Leo into the woods and got in lots of time on the swing.

We ended the weekend with dinner at my parents and the Oscars!!

A busy, but also relaxing weekend before another week ahead!
