Broken Record

The list for improvements are long, sometimes frustratingly long, but I finally decided on the top 5 things that I want to achieve.

Lose weight
4 Reasons to Stop Weighing Yourself Every Da
It's every woman's dream to be the best version of themselves when they have countless eyes on them walking down the aisle - and I am no exception. Thinking about "how much" or my goal weight on my wedding day, honestly scares me, so I'm breaking it off in pieces. My first goal check point is my wedding shower on February 23rd.
I'm working out four times a week, training for a 10k, and cutting out white carbs. I saw some success before we left for Mexico and I'm hoping the extra workouts this time around will really help melt the pounds away.

Stay calm and enjoy this wedding process
Natural light.
Weddings are really stressful and I'm planning on only having one so I want to find the joy in all of the parts of these next six months. It's really easy to fall down the rabbit hole and become a snarky, anxious, pain in the ass for everyone, but I'm going to make a serious effort to keep my cool and trust that things will all work out.

Do more for others
Girls on the Run - Puget Sound!
With our move to California, and a lot other silly excuses, I haven't volunteered any of my time to people that need it. I really miss working with kids, so I'm hoping that after the wedding I will be able to get back with Girls on the Run and start giving back a little.

Have a solid marriage
Jen Gotch
I am very excited to see what marriage is like. Joel and I will have been together for 6 years, living together for almost 3 when we get married so I'm curious as to what exactly is going to change - if anything. Whether it does or not, I want to make a constant effort to become a united front and really enjoy our newlywed status.

Look cuter
Love
I want to pull together better outfits when I'm at work. And accessorize a little smarter. And make sure that my clothes fit, and fit well. Plus, I want to look cute when I'm working out, and when I'm in sweats. I just want to upgrade my look and start looking like I'm a 24 year old, engaged woman!

Wish me luck.

  1. Tess, you could not get any cuter!

I really wanted to lose weight before the wedding, but that didn't happen for me. So I hope it happens for you and that you're more motivated than I was! Which it sounds like you are. haha

  2. You always look cute when I see you!I think you have great style, so there. I see where you're coming from though, I could put a LOT more effort in to my outfits/ styling- especially for work.
