Weekend Recap

We were in need of a great weekend, and this one lived up to my request.

On Friday we had dinner with my cousins  at Sotto which was delicious. I'm not sure if it's everywhere, but Los Angeles is obsessed with small plates. I actually like being able to taste a lot of different dishes, but I think I end up eating more than I need to.

Luckily, I had SoulCycle survivor the next morning.

And luckily, David and Victoria Beckham (and their son) were in my class.

I'm not kidding.

This is the manager of Soul walking them out the back entrance. It was insanity.

I got to class early and they were there with a few other friends and couldn't figure out how to use the lockers. I helped Victoria enter the code and she went on her merry way. They're both as perfect as you would imagine.

She put on makeup in the bathroom before they left which I thought was a little high-mai but, whatever. And a random girl asked her to take a picture and she declined. It was pretty crazy, and I'm not going to lie, I stared at David for every minute during our class.

Afterwards I went shopping with my friend Shelby. I'm trying to find pants for France and picked these up at Jcrew because they were on sale. I tried them on again at home and I'm just not crazy about them.

Joel and I had a date night Saturday which was much needed.

We went to the Wine House to re-stock our wine supply - which is always fun. This wine store has a tasting room, so we got to taste a few glasses while we were shopping.

For dinner we went to Upstairs 2, which is on the second floor of the Wine House. The food, small plates again!, was really really good, but the ambiance was a little geriatric.

Sunday I went for a hike with Dawn and Max, and then we snagged brunch before I ran some errands. The weather is starting to get really hot in LA so we decided to embrace it and grilled some salmon and had an early dinner outside.

All in all, it was a perfect weekend and I'm actually looking forward to the week ahead.
Purpose.
