I love decorating for fall and every year I get excited about the additions I make to my collection. I try not to go too over the top and keep the look pretty simple. Some Halloween decor can get a little much - so I try to keep it tasteful but festive.
My favorite thing about Christmas is the glow of the Christmas tree, so I was excited to find this cozy little light up pumpkin at Micheal's for like 11 dollars. Actually, I've never picked up holiday decorations at Michael's before and they had a pretty good selection for inexpensive goodies.
I try to find decorations that I can keep until the day after Thanksgiving - so most of what I use isn't too Halloween-y.
I like to swap out our soaps and dish towels too, which are cheap fixes that keep me happy ;)
I always love seeing the additions you make to your home! Everything always looks so nice, cozy, and like a real house as opposed to some house/apartments that look like no one lives in them. You and Joel have definitely done a great job of slowly adding with great pieces and your fall decorations are perfect! Have a wonderful week love!
ReplyDeleteI love Fall decorating too! Looks cozy!
ReplyDeleteI love your table!
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteA) want that bench
ReplyDeleteB) love that table runner - and thank you for reminding me I have a beautiful fall/Thanksgiving themed one that I should put out NOT just for special occasions
C) my mom had her Holiday Powder Room when I was growing up - each holiday had different towels/soaps/tchotchkes and I loved it
Adore those ikat chairs. The decor looks festive!
ReplyDeleteYour house looks great! I love your dining room table chairs!
ReplyDeleteLove the lit pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteI'm like you with Fall decor. I much rather have more fall-ish than Halloween. As long as it's tasteful I don't mind it much. Though I have to say my favorite Halloween decor I have is a haunted house that is backlit by a candle. I love it!
You have such great and classic taste. You have really inspired me to up my game when it comes to fall decorating. We do a lot for Halloween but you are right, fall decor can last well through Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLove your fall decor!! Its the perfect mix of Halloween and fall and I love that most all of it can bring you through thanksgiving!! I have a few things to add but I'm almost done with my fall decorating!!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Love the pumpkin with string lights. Your house looks great! How sad is it that I don't want to dig through the closet to find all of our decorations this year? Ugh. Maybe I'll just go get a few new things...
ReplyDeleteTwo things I love (which I'm not sure are autumn related or not lol): that gorgeous blue blanket on the chair next to your fireplace and that ah-maz-ing wine fridge lol
ReplyDeleteLove your fall decor! Everything look so cozy. It's the most wonderful time of the year :)
