1. Craft Wine Bottles: F
Pinspriation:
The spray paint was expensive and the lady at Michaels told me it would never stick to the wine bottles. I decided not to fight her on it and just give up the pipe dream.
2. Fill Hurricanes with fall goodies: A-
Pinspiration:
Reality:
I added some corn kernals to spruce up my mantel - and if I find some fake leaves, I'll be adding those to the mix too.
3. Add a Burlap Runner: F
Pinspiration:
Couldn't find one anywhere!
4. Spruce up our front door wreath: A-
Pinspriation:
Reality:
I found a cute white letter at Michaels, hung it with brown ribbon and ta-da!
5. Invest in Fall Signs: A
Pinspriation:
Reality:
I found that cute Autumn Blessings (which is two sided) and the plug in Halloween goodie.
6. Pumpkin Candles everywhere: A
Pinspriation:
Reality:
Yes and they're heavenly. I had to fill this glass pumpkin with oranges because if I start on the Halloween candy now, we're all in big trouble.
Fall, we are ready for you.
I spray painted bottles for my reception and it stuck totally fine! If you scratched at it, it would come off, but not just on it's own! Geesh, Michaels must employ all the haters.
ReplyDeleteLOVE all your sweet fall decorations, especially the table set up! Everything looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove all your cute ideas, Tess! If you're still thinking about hunting for the runner, I actually "made" a burlap one by getting a hunk of it from the fabric store and cutting it to size- it was incredibly cheap!
ReplyDeleteYou are the cutest. Love your autumn wreath!!
ReplyDeleteLove the decorations! I wanted to do the wine bottle idea but I know I would mess it up!
ReplyDeleteI can't help it but every time I see a picture of those bottles the remind me of little animated Halloween condoms. It might just be my naughty mind playing tricks on me but I can't help it :)
ReplyDeleteThe oranges instead of candy is such a good idea! Plus I love clementines- they basically are candy. I think you did pretty good with your inspiration to reality. Does your craft store sell burlap that you could have them cut to size and then hot glue ribbon trim or something like that?
ReplyDeleteThat's weird that they said the stuff wouldn't stick to the bottle. I bet they had no clue what they were doing. ;)
ReplyDeleteI bought some rolls of burlap at Hobby Lobby, but I think I've seen them at Michael's too. You could easily just buy one of those and cut it to size.
