Party Dress

I'm on the hunt for a fancy, quality party dress and I'm willing to spend a little more than my usual price since I'm planning on wearing it for a few occasions.
  1. On Saturday Joel has a fancy work event at an estate in Orange Country. It's a happy hour auction with a lot of big money types.
  2. We have a beach wedding in Florida in 2 weeks
  3. It's my birthday, and we have dinner reservations at Villa Blanca, and I'd like to dress the part!
And yes, that was me justifying my soon-to-be purchase to myself.

The mall I'm going to hit up on Saturday has perfect stores for dresses: Bloomies, BCBG, J.Crew, and Juicy Couture - my typical go-to's for fancy dresses. And while I did say I'm willing to splurge, I'm not sure I'm down for spending more than $300.

From those stores, here a few picks that I'm liking off their websites

DVF, Bloomies

Nanette Lepore, Bloomies

I think my vote is for the DVF, but is it too white to wear to a wedding? I do love the boldness of the BCBG....but the pink is just so classic. Hopefully all of these dresses are in stock so I can see how they look on me.

  1. I love the DVF dress! Kelly Ripa wore a really cute dress on Live Monday and it is from Bloomie's (http://www1.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/pippa-dress-ikat-spot-silk?ID=598448&fromPage=contextPage) She paired it with a skinny belt and nude pumps- it was perfect!! I want to buy it for a wedding I have coming up but it's in October and this dress may be too springy for that. Good luck finding something!

  2. Yes, the DVF is my favorite! With the Nanette Lepore a VERY close second. That color is gorgeous.

  3. I love the 1st and 2nd option. The 2nd is a classic and you can't go wrong with it, but the print and fit on the 1st is equally cute! Good luck with that! haha

  4. I just found your blog through Kelly's Korner. I love it!

FYI: I think that BCBG dresses are always amazing.
