How Far Along? 31 weeks today, due October 15, 2015

Gender: BOY!

Weight Gain: 24lbs

Maternity Clothes: Mixing and Matching

Nursery: The decals are done, and new handyman has been scheduled, and the glider should ship next week!

Movement: Lots but because I've been so busy this last week, I haven't had too much time to just sit and enjoy it. The baby is on a schedule now though and I've come to expect times when he kicks and moves all about. We normally wake up together which I look forward to and he always kicks a lot while I try to get comfortable for bed which I imagine is him trying to find a comfy spot as well.

Symptoms: His butt or head (I can't tell) is right under my left rib and while it doesn't really hurt, it gets uncomfortable - especially sitting on the flight. My feet also were really swollen after the flights and I would notice swelling if I sat on my parents kitchen stools for too long. I'm hungry - and eat - a lot.
Sleep: Average, I would guess, for this far along
Joel: I'm waiting for him to get home from work so that we can go through all of the generous gifts we received at the baby shower. I'm so excited to see his reactions to certain outfits, toys, and books.

Workouts: I got in a spin class before I left last week, and then my mom and I walked 3 mornings, but otherwise, not great his week.

Mood: Overwhelmed in both good and bad senses

Cravings: Mainly just bad food...all the time.

What I Miss: Not much, this was a pretty fun week. I did celebrate the fact that my next flight I will be able to have a glass of champagne!

Random Things: A stranger on the flight asked if I wanted to sit down while I was waiting for the bathroom. It was really cute and the first time a full blown stranger acknowledged my pregnant status.

Best Moment This Week: Honestly too many too count. Being home, being showered with SO much love from my Chicago family.....I honestly get too emotional thinking about how loved I felt this weekend....but it was just overwhelming and amazing.

Going through all of the baby clothes and gifts we got was a very surreal moment too. Packing the suitcase full of baby clothes and gear - it was a feeling I wasn't expecting - and it's getting very, very real for me.

Looking Forward To: I don't want to jinx the handyman but I'm looking forward to seeing some major progress in the nursery *hopefully

  2. Isn't it the best when a random person makes a comment about you being pregnant? As long as it's nice of course! Hopefully the new handyman shows up this time!
