Drew - Month 18

 1 month ::: 2 months ::: 3 months ::: 4 months::: 5 months::: 6 months ::: 7 months ::: 8 months ::: 9 months ::: 10 months ::: 11 months ::: 12 months ::: 13 months ::: 14 months ::: 15 months ::: 16 months

Weight: 24.3lbs (71%), 80% for height

Clothes: You are pretty much in 18-24mth, and omg 2t. Size 4/5 shoes, size 5 diapers

Nicknames: Drewbie, Drewbs, and Drewbo, DD, "princessa"

Sleep: You are officially down to just 1 nap a day - but days when we are home during the morning - you struggle a bit and literally ask to go "ni ni" before I'd like you to ;)

Schedule:
6:45-7:45am - You wake up normally between here. I think we are officially done with bottles. Daddy one day just stopped giving it to you, and because I can't focus on it too much because it makes me sad, we are just going with it.
8am - breakfast with milk cup 4-6oz
11:30am - lunch
1pm - 2:30/3pm - Nap
3:15 - snack
3:30-5pm - play
5:30/6pm- Dinner
6:30pm-Mike Cup, normally 4-6ox
7pm - Bed

Health:  We are working through a stomach bug/cold situation at our house. You started it, and Leo got it way worse, but yours is sticking around with more cold like symptoms - so who the heck knows. You got shots a few days ago, your cutting all 4 of your eye teeth, so it could be a mixture of everything.

Crying: You are in the thick of tantrums if you don't get what you want, when you want it. We all find it pretty hilarious (#2ndChildProblems), which seems to aggravate you even more!

Feeding: You're a pretty good eater. You love to snack - you like your own snack cup, separate from Leo, which is pretty funny....but you also love throwing and dumping your snacks whenever you get a chance - which also drives me a bit nuts!

Breakfast is normally banana, hard boiled eggs, and toast. Lunch is normally apple sauce and chicken nuggets, and dinners are whatever we are eating deconstructed or whatever Leo is eating.

Likes: You are a wild woman. You love Leo. Anything he does makes you laugh, and you want to copy. It's pretty amazing to watch. You LOVE books (especially chatbooks), you love music and dancing, you love running, you love being outside, you love bubbles, people, holding hands, pulling glasses off of peoples faces, holding your babies, and dogs.

Dislikes: Being told no, not getting what you want, having things taken from your hands.

Milestones: Your words are starting to flow! I love it! We are just about at the stage where a new word will pop out every day a surprise us. You can say "thank you", and new words lately have been "cheese", "yes", "barbie", "cracker", "uh-oh", "weeeee" "coco" "hannah", "gigi".......gosh, I forgot what else, but its been pretty cool.

Places You’ve Gone: No where new this month.

Leo: Probably the biggest joy of my life is watching you two together. I love the knowing looks you give each other, how you both amp each other up for fun - and for trouble. I love that you bang on his door, try to keep up with him, and play with his toys. I love that you try to impress him - it's all such a joy.

Drew - Month 16

 1 month ::: 2 months ::: 3 months ::: 4 months::: 5 months::: 6 months ::: 7 months ::: 8 months ::: 9 months ::: 10 months ::: 11 months ::: 12 months ::: 13 months ::: 14 months ::: 15 months :::

Weight: 22lbs (58%), I think it was like 33 inches? You were in the 78% for height!

Clothes: You are pretty much in 18-24mth

Nicknames: Drewbie, Drewbs, and Drewbo, DD, "princessa"

Sleep: You are still a better napper when you get two naps in a day. Your doctor advised to start working towards 1 nap, and I think we will when summer arrives, but for now, if we can get you a morning nap, we like to.

Schedule:
7:15am - We wake you up most mornings with an 7oz bottle
8am - breakfast
10:30am - sometimes nap
11:15am - up, playtime, bath, snack, etc.
11:30am - lunch
1pm - 2:30/3pm - Nap
3:15 - snack
3:30-5pm - play
5:30/6pm- Dinner
6:30pm-Bottle, normally 6-7oz
7pm - Bed
Health:  You've had perfect health this month - minus a tough diaper rash and slight cough.
Crying: You don't cry too much, but you will throw mini tantrums when you don't get what you want.
Feeding: You are a good eater overall, but I would say maybe slowed down a little bit in the food department this month. Breakfast has been pretty light, and you think it's fun to feed Roscoe, so a lot of your food has been ending up on the ground lately.
Likes: You are a busy body! You love to get into things, play outside, dance to music, read books, and kiss your babies. You love your brother, you love dogs, you love people, and you love your slippers! Oh, and you LOVE bubbles. Especially the "bubbles" (hand sanitizer) from the gym.
Dislikes: Diaper changes have been tough this month and you don't like when I take things out of your hands that you're not supposed to have.
Milestones: This month you are starting to really understand everything we say. You'll show us your belly, your shoes, your hair, etc. You can follow most instructions, and have a real idea of the routine of things which I love watching.

You are talking up a storm and learning about 2-3 words a week. Most recently this week you've started to say banana and shoes.
Places You’ve Gone: No where new this month.
Leo: You two have been kissing all month long. If you give dad a kiss goodbye, you will then chase your brother down with puckered lips to kiss him as many times as he will let you.

Drew - Month 15

I literally feel like I just wrote her 14 month update - HOW DOES TIME KEEP MOVING FASTER?

 1 month ::: 2 months ::: 3 months ::: 4 months::: 5 months::: 6 months ::: 7 months ::: 8 months ::: 9 months ::: 10 months ::: 11 months ::: 12 months ::: 13 months ::: 14 months :::

Weight: 22lbs (58%), I think it was like 33 inches? You were in the 78% for height!

Clothes: You are pretty much in 18mth clothes now, size 4 shoe and size 4 or 5 diapers

Nicknames: Drewbie, Drewbs, and Drewbo, DD, "princessa"

Sleep: We are trying again to drop your morning nap - you've been doing great this week and been going down around 12:45 and sleeping until about 3 which is perfect!

Schedule:
7:15am - We wake you up most mornings with an 7oz bottle
8am - breakfast
10:30am - playtime
11:15am - up, playtime, bath, snack, etc.
11:30am - lunch
12:45pm - 3:00pm - Nap
3:15 - snack and some milk in a sippy cup
3:30-5pm - play
5:30/6pm- Dinner
6:30pm-Bottle, normally 6-7oz
7pm - Bed

Health:  You've had a little runny nose this week but overall - you've had perfect health and we are always thankful for that.

Crying: You are our happy little thing - but you will cry if you want something and you aren't getting it. Yesterday, you started crying in front of Leo because he was having a snack and you weren't, and I sat back laughing, because he would give you a pretzel, and then you would be happy, and two minutes later, come back to him, start crying, and then he would eventually give in and give you a pretzel.

You have us all wrapped around your little finger my girl.

Feeding: You love food and you're still a great eater. The one thing that is different from Leo to you is that you LOVE pouches. I can get any food pouch into you - which is awesome and super handy!

Likes: This month you've really started to love books. You light up when I read stories to you, and you love to turn the pages and bring different books to anyone who is willing to read to you.

You love being outside, you love your brother, you love balls, you love music and dancing, and you love being around people.
Dislikes: I honestly can't think of anything. You're delightful.

Milestones:  New words this month: papa, grandpa, ball, ro-ro (for roscoe), and I think we heard you say "bubbles" when we were at the gym, which is what we say when you sanitize your hands.

Places You’ve Gone: We were home for most of this month, but we leave tomorrow for a little weekend getaway with friends to Galena!

Leo: BFF's

Drew - Month 14

 1 month ::: 2 months ::: 3 months ::: 4 months::: 5 months::: 6 months ::: 7 months ::: 8 months ::: 9 months ::: 10 months ::: 11 months ::: 12 months ::: 13 months :::

Weight: +20lbs?

Clothes: You are pretty much in 18mth clothes now, size 4 shoe and size 4 diapers

Nicknames: Drewbie, Drewbs, and Drewbo, and now, after Mexico "princessa"
Sleep: We dropped your morning nap last month....and then we added it back in. When we dropped it, you weren't giving me any longer of an afternoon nap (only 90 minutes), and it was a fight to get you to 1pm, so for now, we're still doing two shorter naps. The morning one is about 40 minutes, with your afternoon nap still about 90.

Schedule:
7:15am - We wake you up most mornings with an 7oz bottle
8am - breakfast
10:30am - morning nap
11:15am - up, playtime, bath, snack, etc.
12pm - lunch
  1:45pm - 3:00pm - Nap
3:15 - snack and some milk in a sippy cup
3:30-5pm - play
5:30/6pm- Dinner
6:30pm-Bottle, normally 6-7oz
7pm - Bed
Health:  Our health for most of the month was perfect, thank God! We all are working through a cold right now - the first one that really knocked me down, too, which isn't fun - but we're getting through. I was keeping my fingers crossed that we all stayed healthy while on vacation, and since we did, I'm okay to rally through this cold at the comfort of our house.
Crying: You are a lovely little happy baby - but you now know when to use your cries for what you want. Or, what you don't. It's actually pretty darn cute and funny. We are all pretty much mush in your hands.
Feeding: You love food - and you are still a great eater for me. You've mastered all straws which is great for smoothies and water bottles, you like most vegetables, most fruit, most proteins, and all the carbs.

Likes: This month, you've really started to love music. You love to play music, you love to dance to music, and you love to sing to music. We love it.

You loved the pool, sand, being outside, playing with water toys, and meeting allllll the boys ;)
Dislikes: Not much. Even diaper changes are getting easier.
Milestones:  Now that you are walking, running, trying to jump, and twerking - we've got to start working on animal sounds and talking!

Mama, Dada, Baba, are all VERY clear, and this month you've also started to say: brother, ni-ni, wa-wa, hi, bye bye, car, and possibly book.
You understand a lot - you try to put on your shoes, talk on the phone, brush your hair, hold your own spoon.....it's wild how quick you're growing.
Places You’ve Gone: We went on your first international vacation to Mexico! You were an expert traveler, so flexible, so easy, and so fun. We loved showing you one of our favorite places in the entire world and you and your brother were so, SO happy to be there.
Leo:   You guys are truly the best of friends and have such a special bond, it might be the best thing in the entire world for me to see.

Drew - Month 13

 1 month ::: 2 months ::: 3 months ::: 4 months::: 5 months::: 6 months ::: 7 months ::: 8 months ::: 9 months ::: 10 months ::: 11 months ::: 12 months :::

Weight: 19lbs 15oz (49%), 29.25" (43%), head is 45cm (48%)

Clothes: Solidly in 12-18mth and I just grabbed some leggings at Old Navy that are 18-24mth, and they fit you well. It's honestly disturbing me. Your shoes are a 3, and diapers are a 4.

Nicknames: Drewbie, Drewbs, and Drewbo.

Sleep: We dropped your morning nap this month. You honestly didn't seem to mind at all, but I thought that I would be guarnteeing a really great afternoon nap, and that just hasn't been the case. It's a little all over the place, but on average you've only been sleeping in the afternoon for like 90 minutes. I'm hoping that it's just the transition and that you will soon learn to rest your busy body for at least two hours!

Schedule: Now that we have dropped your morning nap, if you can, you will sleep in past 7:30/8 sometimes.

7:15am - We wake you up most mornings with an 8oz bottle
8am - breakfast
11am- sometimes you will take a bottle (especailly if I drop you at the KidZone at the gym)
12pm - lunch
  1:00pm - 3:00pm - Nap....trying
3:15 - snack and some milk in a sippy cup
3:30-5pm - play
5:30/6pm- Dinner
6:30pm-Bottle #3
7pm - Bed

Health:  You've had a couple minor coughs/cold/runny noses. Nothing serious thankfully. I have been taking you out and about quite a bit lately, and since everything goes into your mouth, I get nervous about germs, but we are trying to just push through and take lots of baths and hand washing breaks.

Crying: You are a very happy baby but figuring out what you like and don't more and more. You cry when I strap you into the carseat, you will cry if Leo swipes a toy or boinks you down, and you will cry if I correct you from doing something you shouldn't be doing - like chewing on an iphone cord.

Feeding: You've been a great eater....I don't think much has changed this month to be honest. You did try shrimp and that went over well and you really seemed to enjoy it. Otherwise, you're not overly picky and can eat quite a bit!

Likes: You have really started to enjoy playing in the play room this month. There are so many toys for you to explore and check out - and you are the happiest in there when we are at home. You like to be around people, you like to have the attention of everyone in the room, you like to read books, listen to music, and play ball with Roscoe.
Dislikes: You don't love diaper changes, the nose frida, getting toys swiped via your older brother, and you don't seem to like wearing socks to sleep.

Milestones:  You  are a full blown walker. I would say, just like Leo, you were officially off to the races at 12mths2weeks. Now, walking is pretty much your preferred method of transportation. It's honestly crazy to see you vertical!

You are babbling a LOT. Mama, Dada, Hi, and Baba are the most clear.

You understand quite a bit, and have really started to explore your toys in a different way this year which has been fun to watch.

Places You’ve Gone: We were home for the holidays, and celebrated a perfect Christmas and New Year with you. This month, I also started dropping you off at the KidZone at my health club. You don't love it - you hate when I leave - but you're doing better (And way better than Leo did). They often push you in the stroller with "special owl", feed you a little bottle, and then feel comfortable to go play. I also feel so much more comfortable with the space since I know the ladies that work there now, and have a lot of friends kids who take special care of Drewbie when she is in there too.

Postpartum: Back to closer to 3ish away. Christmas didn't do me any favors but I've been really crushing it at the gym these last few weeks so I really hope I see a move in the right direction!

Leo:   He loves you - tests you - drives you a little crazy - but is truly your best friend and that's been a really special thing for us to watch.
